Talk Description :
This talk focuses on the rich resources for exploration, creativity, discover and innovation that the Internet offers.
The ability to be actively engaged, creative and building a journey for learning.
The goal is to show the wonder and beauty that learning in the Metaverse can be and the dangers of falling behind with technological evolution and revolution.
Though hands on learning, engagement, inspiration and mentoring students in any educational environment need to be “let loose” to apply their learning journeys in preparation for the future.
Bio:
William is a retired educator of 33 years. He is a graduate of South Carolina State University earning a Bachelors of Arts.
He continued his education earning a Masters of Education from Webster University with a focus on Educational Technology, Social Media and STEAM William has been employed with the Florida Department of Education, NASA, Northeast Florida Educational Consortium promoting the application of Technology and IOT (Internet of Things).
Professor Jackson as he is sometimes referred to has taught in higher education in several colleges and universities where he has developed several curriculums with the focus on business, education, STEAMM – Science Technology Engineering Arts Math Metaverse.
William and his wife, also a university professor, are members of the WordPress community where they speak globally about the application of web development and the Metaverse.
William is developing strategies with several educational groups he is working with to integrate Spatial Galleries and Metaverse access into an instructional design for schools in Africa.
Currently teaching virtually in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
